Wordful Wed.---Great-Grandparents

I have said it before,but I am sooo glad that my kids get the opportunity to not only meet, but get to know their Great-Grandparents (with the exception of my Papa). I have had them in my life for (almost 31) 30 years. I never met any of my great-grandparents.

One thing that I love getting to see is my Grandparents faces light up when they get to see them. We are very lucky to have one great-grandparent live in town, and the other great-grandparents make it a priority to come and visit as often as they can. Here are the 3 of them at Thanksgiving chatting away.
More Wordful Wed there ---------->

Oh how great. I knew my grand grandmother very well. I was lucky enough to have her until after I was out of HS, when she died at 92! My GGfather was also with me until I was about 9. I remember both of them so fondly.

That is awesome to have a living family tree like that. And the fact that they want to be involved so you can enjoy them, is the icing on the cake:-) Great picture!

There is nothing more important than family. What a special gift they are for your children.

My mom's parents are gone, but my dad's folks are still alive and kicking, well into their 90s but going strong and LOVING the little Bean. It's something special, isn't it?

That's great. My grandparents are still alive (except my "Papa") so my daughter is getting to know them now. In fact, my maternal grandmother lives next door.

How wonderful! I think that it is so important for the older generation to see the joy and life of the children. You are so lucky to be able to share that with them! Looks like a fun Thanksgiving!

That is truly wonderful. There is something so special about grandparents :)
I always wish my grandmother lived closer so she could see my daughter. Although she doesn't speak English well, it's amazing to see the dynamic between the 2 :)

I wish my girls were that lucky..they never even see their grandparents. We have lived in Europe, Hawaii, the best beaches and my daughter says she just wants to live by Grandma because Grandma's is the BEST place in the whole world..sniffle sniffle

Breanna and JJ are so lucky to know them!

I hardly knew my grandparents as they all passed away either before I was born or while I was very young. Michael got to know 3 great grandparents AND a great great grandparent! At almost 29 years old he STILL has 1 great grandparent alive. WOW right?
