B-day turning 31

Really to be completely honest 31 bothered me more than 30. I don't know exactly why, but it really did.
So my b-day was awhile back (less than a month), but I never posted a blog post about it. It was simple, filled with laughter, and pretty much me.
Jay made chili, it was good. Spicy, but not to spicy. (Jess liked it). He cooked it in the crock-pot all day long.

My Mom and Dad came over and brought me this cake. Seriously look at it, have you even seen anything that temps your sweet tooth more. It was chocolate, chocolate fudge, with chocolate topping. Pure heaven! They also took the kiddos for the night so that the girls (Jess, and the Potato Queen) could come over and we could stay up late and laugh and not worry about waking up the kids (and I could sleep in a little in the morning)
Jess and Potato Queen came arms full. They arrived with wine, champagne, and cupcakes. Quite possibly the best cupcakes ever.

We spent the night online (no surprise there). We laughed, talked, drank wine, champagne, ate chili and cupcakes, and had a great time.
Thanks to all of you that made turning 31 a little less painful!

Sounds like a great way to spend a birthday, no matter how many years you're celebrating!

It sounds like you had a great birthday. Mine was a few weeks ago too and I didn't mention it on my blog, either. Don't feel bad about your age, it could be worse, believe me, I'm older than you and this year it really HURT. I'm still in pain over it!

I LOVE my thirties! Am I alone here?? Look how freaking awesome we are ...everyday! Hee.

I had so much fun that night and it isn't over. oh no! We still have the blog reveal party on the horizon.

The chili rocked my world.

What a fun birthday! The chili is making my mouth water and those cupcakes are adorable!

Your parents were so sweet to take the little ones. Or they were using it as an excuse to kidnap and spoil them for the night. ;)
