Today was a sad day for me. I have loved the Kennedy's from a young age. In high school I read many many books about them, some were several hundreds of pages long. I think I have my mother and her side of the family to thank. They are from Boston, and later the Cape. My mother has a library card signed by Sen. John Kennedy. I have been to Hyannis and the JFK museum there, I have seen the Kennedy compound (from the road). Teddy was the last great king of their Camelot. He was and extraordinary man. He dealt with a lot of tragedy in his life, more than any man should have to deal with. He took over as the man of the family at a young age.
If all you know of Teddy Kennedy is that he was the younger brother of Jack, and Bobby, and his involvement in Chappaquiddick then you don't know who he was.
Today for me was a very sad day, I could not take my eyes off the news. I streamed the Boston News Channel all day. I am watching "Teddy: In his own words", I just can't help it. I have even pre-ordered Teddy's autobiography, soI can have it to read as well.
To quote my mother "The “Lion of the Senate” has issued his final roar"
