Just a note to Mike Leach........

*******Note to Nichole and Michael you might not want to read this*******

I have to preface this with I have rooted for TT this season, I have wanted the best for them if we weren't going to win I would want them to go all the way. I may be a bit bitter, but I think I deserve to be.......Just have to react...............
“I want to wish them the best of luck,” Leach told a television reporter about the Cowboys.

Leach, a former Oklahoma assistant, also made reference to Oklahoma State Coach Mike Gundy’s epic post game rant after beating Texas Tech last season. During his tirade, he screamed, “I’m a man! I’m 40!”

“I’m 47 years old and I’m still not a man,” Leach said, “but I’m with him all the way.”
Ummmmmm first off, Mike Leach got notoriety, or at least his offer as a head coach, while a coach at OU. Second, why can't he be like the rest of the Big 12 coaches and root for the conference, rather than a single team. As I told my father earlier I would respect that if what he was said was said in a locker room, but not to the national media.

Sorry Nichole, but his blatant disregard for the Sooners gets under my skin.

If it were Bob (or even as Mack has stated...really Mack Brown) the Big 12 south is a VERY strong conference. No matter who goes it will be a good team. At this point I do not know if the Sooner will jump the Longhorns, but no matter who goes to the Big 12 champ, I know it will be a victory for the South. That is what matters, if it is us HOOOORAY, if not there is nothing I can do except root for the Longhorns.

I just am VERY, VERY put off by Leach's statement.
To root for a team that is playing against a team you coached for, a team that got you where you are....just sad.
Sorry Mike we won...........

#12OKST (9-3)310131541

That is all. No matter if it is us or the Longhorns I wish them the best of luck. I truely hope it is us, but if not (unlike Mike Leach) I know the Big 12 South will be well represented.

PS..... I talked to my father earlier tonight and he told me to disreguard Mike's statement's. It had nothing to do with our game, and it didn't. It does have a lot to do with the way I feel though.

Mommy Intuition?????

Yesterday at my parents house, while having JJ's little birthday get together I kept looking at him and asking him if he was ok. He just looked a little off. He was a little quiet, a little somber, but he was acting pretty much normal, and ate like normal.

Jump forward to today......puke, diarrhea, more puke, more diarrhea, and so on....so much for a fun week off!! (to top it all off we went to the doctor for his 2 year old check up and got shots (3 of them), they said it was OK because he did not have a fever)

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!

Today my baby (yeah I know he is technically a toddler, but he is MY baby) is 2 years old.

I can’t believe that these last 2 years have flown by so fast. My little baby with the sweet disposition is growing up. Having JJ was interesting enough. After my water broke, he decided that maybe he wasn't quite ready to come out into the world. He hid a little bit (the nurses actually asked me if he was breach) after doing an ultrasound they realized that he was not breach, but had moved up quite a bit. So after 16 hours he came into the world via c-section. JJ first few (6) weeks we not the greatest. He was literally slowing starving. After many trips to the doctor, several reflux medicines later he was diagnosed with Pyloric Stenosis, we rushed him to Children’s hospital. When he was admitted, he weighted less than he did when he was born. 24 hours later after having surgery, he was a completely different kid. He has been smiling ever since.
He is my up early riser, so JJ and I get a lot of time together in the morning just the two of us. He is a snuggle bug, he loves to hug and give kisses to everyone. He really just is a sweet, sweet boy.

Princess Room

Breanna LOVES princesses the more sparkle, shimmer, and shine there is the better. She loves to dress like a princess. In an effort to make bedtime more pleasant for us all I decided to try some princess things in her room to make her want to go in there. It worked, we almost can't get her out of there. Yesterday afternoon when it was all done she just sat on her bed and looked at it all for a LONG time.

The castle.The princesses

More castle

Breanna LOVES her princess bed
JJ came to check it all out too.

Happy kid....um princess

Today is Christmas picture day at school. So the kids got to wear their Christmas outfits to school. I sent other clothes for after pictures, but here is a preview of what is to come.

Next Weekend.....

Next weekend is a BIG weekend for my family....my sister, her boyfriend, and my grandparents are coming to town for an early Thanksgiving.

Our Thanksgiving will happen on Sunday. It will be GREAT, holidays always are. Family, food, drinks.....that is all we need.

There is something else happening next week, something that could make the weekend a phenomenal, OU plays Texas Tech. We have friends that have graduated from Texas Tech (Nichole and Michael) we also have friends still attending TT (Vance). I have even rooted for TT this season but that all comes to an end this weekend. It will be BOOMER SOONER all day Saturday.
No matter the outcome (hear that Dad, no matter the outcome) we will have a GREAT weekend. My small little family will all be together.

Another big thing this week, JJ will be 2, my youngest child, my baby, my sweet little boy will be two. ugghhh (anyone know how to make them stop getting older).

I called my parents tonight and talked to my dad he told me about tickets to the OU/TT game on Ebay.......Really who has the money to buy these tickets. It will be a GREAT, maybe epic game, but 1000.00 for tickets, really.

Smoked Glazed Ham......yummy!!

It started with this. The smoker. I have been asking Jay to smoke a ham for while. This weekend he cooked a rack of ribs and a beer-butt chicken (yes people in Oklahoma stick a can of beer in a chicken's rear sometimes when they cook them). They were great, but I still wanted my ham. So Sunday he decided to finally do it. This is the ham all wrapped up in the smoker. It smoked for about 10 hours at a very low 175 degrees. Then it was time for the glaze.

A little liquid smoke, some worcestershire sauce, honey, and brown sugar, and a cup of the dripping out of the pan the ham was cooking in.
The end product.........it is VERY yummy. We didn't get to eat it last night, due to the fact that it wasn't done until VERY late (about 10pm). I sneaked a taste this morning and it is GREAT!! I think we all might be eating it for awhile, it is an 8 lb ham!!

This morning went to work, got a call about an hour later that Breanna was sick......ugghh. Will it ever end.

TGIF.......maybe not

Today is Friday....usually means great things....the beginning of the weekend...tomorrow is college football day.....cooking....lots family time.

This Friday is filled with 2 sick kids and a sick mom that
have had a bad cold. Runny nose's, sore throats, lots of coughing, LOTS of missed sleep. Can I reiterate the lack of sleep that is going on. Almost none for mom. Kids that can't breath out of their nose's means kids that don't sleep well, when there are two do they ever sleep soundly at the same time...ummm.....nope.

Ugghhh.

Hail in November????

Really....this is November. No big damage.Lawn furniture broken, some toys broken, dog bowl smashed. This is the biggest hail I have ever seen (in person). Wasn't expecting this today. I was at work, came home and inspected everything. Found these hail stones in the backyard.

Since I wrote that above we have lost power twice. We have had a ton of lighting, and thunder. No more hail though, thankfully!! I have also talked to our next door neighbor and he had some windows broken out.

Halloween

The kids had a great time this Halloween. They are finally at the age, especially Breanna, where they get it. We had some visitors on Halloween night. My parents came over and brought with them some friends from EP. We loved getting to see Kenny and Weezer, the kids loved on them too!

Here are some pictures from our day...
The Halloween bags

Halloween cookies from school

The front porch with all of our pumpkins from all of the pumpkin patches

Some more Halloween decor...

Halloween crafts made by Breanna, her witch hat, scarecrow, and mask.

The "loot" from school.

More of the loot from school.....thankfully there was hardly any candy.

Breanna in her princess costume
JJ as a pirate

Eating some pretzels and fruit snacks after trick-or-treating. Mommy didn't let them eat any candy.

Happy kiddos (they were happy with pretzels and fruit snacks)

Getting ready to end the evening.

Halloween ended with some Scooby-Doo, with Breanna's "scary ghost" keeping watch!!

We couldn't get Breanna to take off her Halloween costume, she wore it most of the weekend. Finally on Sunday she said I could wash it. We did manage to get it off of her to go out of the house, but if we were home she was wearing her princess costume.
