Mornings

My mornings are pretty structured. There isn't a lot of room for idle time in the morning when you are trying to get yourself, your husband, and your two babies who can't do things for themselves out the door before 6:30am. The kids get to spend a little time together while mom and dad get ready. This morning I walked into JJ's room where I had put him down to listen and watch his little toy. I walked back in and Breanna had gotten out of her bed and went in and was playing with him. So I got her dressed in there and then she laid down on the floor next to him and watched the lights and listened to the classical music while drinking her morning milk. Here are some pictures from the morning. The first one is when Breanna was still in her PJ's, the other two she is dressed.

OUR WEEKEND

This weekend went by WAY to fast. It seemed like we were got home Friday, woke up and it was Sunday. WE have been hanging out at home this weekend unpacking more and more stuff. We are all done except for the clothes that are in our room. We have gotten Breanna and JJ all squared away. The living room is still waiting on furniture that Mathis Brothers swears to me they are going to deliver this Wed. (only a week and a half after they said we were going to get it).

JJ has another cold. He is all stopped up. Same thing we went through with Breanna last winter. Thankfully winter is almost over and there is light at the end of the tunnel. He is more alert and wanting to reah out and grab things. He graps for anything he can get his little hands on.

Breanna is becoming mommy's little helper. She likes to "play" with JJ, she tries to hold his bottle and feed him, and if she sees that his pascifier has fallen out of his mouth she is right there to put it back in. She tries to pick him up, thankfully he is too heavy for her to move. She is a loving caring little girl. In the videos below, (they are different) she bends down and kisses his head, starts his bouncy seat and dances to the music.

The Village People

Yep that is right we are now officially Village people. Well at least that is what our address now says. WE have gotten moved, now if we can get unpacked it would be great!! We had some great help so we got it all done. Jay's stepdad Sean, and our good friend Matt, my dad and Jay were all busy moving on Sat. I stayed at the new house and put furniture together and got sheets on beds and put things away as best I could. We ordered new living room furniture that is going to be ready this Sat so I will take pictures then of the rooms (that will also give me more time to unpack and put some more things away).

I will put a picture of Breanna in her new (well new to her) big girl bed. She is now sleeping in the bed that I slept in from the time I was about 2 1/2 till I left home. She loves getting up there and snuggling under her covers. It makes her look really little to see her in the bigger bed.

JJ is also sleeping in his own bed now. He still gets up crying during the night, and at some point I will realize that he will quit crying on his own and stop getting up and going in there. I know I am just encouraging his behavior, but I can't help it.

Here are the pictures………stay tuned for more later!!

Happy Valentines Day......

Happy Valentines Day!!
Hope everyone is having a good day! We got up pretty early and got ready. The kids have a Valentines party today so I got them dressed in their Valentines outfits and sent them off with Jay. It was hard to get a picture of Breanna she didn't want to stand still for a minute (I told you all she runs from the minute she gets up, till the minute she goes to bed).

Packing and Valentines

Some short pictures of the babies from the weekend. We are busy packing up our place and getting ready to move. We seem to get a lot done when Breanna is napping, and I think it confuses her. She goes to bed and wakes up and there are more boxes and it looks less like we actually live there. We will be moving this weekend. I am taking Friday off so that I can get some of our small items moved. I am also going to go and get some new bedding and things like that so that we can be all moved and actually living there on Sat night. I'll send pictures of that day as I take them. It will be another adventure in moving. A big HUGE thanks to my Mommy, she is going to watch the kiddos while we move so we won't have to have them under toe.

Tomorrow is Valentines Day, and I know Melissa doesn't really read this blog, so I can say I sent her flowers from the kids. Being in Corpus she isn't as close as we would like and I think it will show her that we are thinking about her too!! =) She should get them tomorrow.

I'll post pictures of the kids in their Valentines Day outfits tomorrow. They are having a Valentines Day party at daycare. You'd think that you wouldn't have to start buying Valentines until they are in school. Nope starts a lot younger than that. I think they will have a good time.

JJ started laughing at me on Sunday. I will try to get a short video off my phone of it. We actually have a nice video camera, that we use, but I don't know how to get those videos in clips on the computer so that I could post them.

Breanna is talking more. She is going to be our resident "chatty cathy" she talks CONSTANTLY. It is how she puts her self to sleep at night and how she wakes up in the morning. She runs from the moment she gets up till she goes to sleep. She can identify her arm, hand, eyes, nose, mouth, feet, belly, leg, hair, and sometimes ear. She can follow commands like go find Daddy, or put that back, go put that in your room, all are simple things but she is learning more and more each day!!

Another note....Nichole tell Michael that we said Happy Birthday!! There now both of your birthdays for the year have been included in my little blog!

Super Star!! (well she thinks so!!)
More snuggles from the weekend. They are both still in PJ's.

JJ "talking"

Some short videos of JJ talking. Hope they work!!

9 to 5

9 to 5. Important numbers in my life right now. For the second night in a row that is how long JJ has slept without waking up for anything. YEAH!! Major breakthrough in your house, that means I get to sleep for a bit.

Yesterday before Jay got home I had both kids sitting on the couch. Breanna climbed up and layed down next to JJ, put her arm around him and just snuggled with him. She is such a good big sister. She leaned over and kissed his head several times (that is in the first picture). He seems to know her and watches her walk around and smiles at her. According to Sara (our babysitter) Breanna watches over her little brother very closely at her house. She runs and gets Sara anytime JJ needs something. The second picture is my favorite!!

Breanna got a blue sucker at the bank, he whole mouth was blue.

He smiles all the time now

Super Bowl Sunday....not sooo super!!

Super Bowl Sunday stinks!! Well in our house it did. The day started with us making a trip to Walmart so get some supplies for the day and also our groceries for the week. Jay insisted on going with me so we packed both kids up and headed out. We did really well for awhile, JJ was in his car seat in the basket, and Breanna had her monkey (he leash) on walking around. She got tired and grumpy and insisted that I carry her. She wouldn't let Jay hold her, she wouldn't sit in a cart, nothing. We got our stuff and went home. We had decided while we were at the store that we were going to go all out for the Super Bowl. We bought hamburgers, brats, lil smokies, all the fixins for queso.
We get home, have some lunch, then believe it or not everyone in our house got to take a little nap. Yep, that's right we were all asleep at the same time!! That NEVER happens. So we all get up and get ready to start preparing our feast. Jay took a shower, and got ready to start the BBQ grill. This is when things start to head south. I decide that I want to take a shower as well. So I get JJ fed and happy, Breanna is in her room playing with all of her stuff. I went into the bathroom and started the shower. It was pretty hot, so I tried to step in as far back as I could. My feet went out from under me, I tried to catch myself by putting my hands on the side of the shower. Since Jay had been in there just a little bit ago, the tile was still wet, so it didn't stop my fall at all. I closed my eyes and hit the back of the tub face first. I got right up and Jay came running into the bathroom. I had blood ALL over my hands and face. I asked Jay to get me a towel. I really thought that I was going to spit out some teeth, thankfully all of my teeth are in tact. I did however take a good chunk out of my bottom lip with my bottom teeth. It took about 10 minutes for the blood to stop flowing, and for me to stop shaking. I told Jay to call my mom and dad and tell them that I more than likely would not be stopping by that afternoon. My mom got in the car a few minutes after we called and came to check on me. =) Everyone always likes to see their mommy when they are hurt or not feeling well. She said it made her feel better too, she thought that I was going to look a lot worse than I did. So I spent a lot of the next hour sitting on the couch with ice on my face.
Then the game started, I got Breanna dinner, she ate and went to bed shortly after, she is still trying to fight off her cold. The medicine that she is on makes her tired.
The game didn't end the way I wanted it to, Jay was pretty happy though. By the 3rd quarter Jay went to bed. JJ and I sat up and watched the end of the game and all the ceremonies after. Sad that my Bears couldn't pull out the win.
My lip and nose this morning are pretty swollen. Jay had the nerve to call me Bubba (form Forest Gump) this morning, because my lips are soo fat. It made me laugh though so it was ok. Hope you all had a better Super Bowl Sunday, than we had at our house.

Breanna is doing well. She is talking more and more everyday, it has changed from sometimes we know what she is talking about to most of the time we know what she is saying. She is getting to be a big girl now. She is soo inquisitive, she will follow you around and ask about everything. She is our little princess.

JJ is getting more interactive. He doesn't like to be by himself (it may have to due to never being more than 2 feet away from me since he was born). I tried to put him in his own room one night and that wasn't going to happen, he was asleep when I put him in there and 5 minutes later he was screaming at the top of his lungs. I let him be for a bit to see if he would stop. Finally I went in there and picked him up and he never even opened his eyes but he stopped crying and went to sleep. He smiles all the time, he has also started "talking" in his own way. He doesn't seem to babble as much as Breanna did, which is a good thing, we's never have a quiet minute if both of them talk as much as she does. He is holding his head steady most of the time. He likes to look around and hasn't quite figured out how to do that gracefully. He turns his head and his body tried to follow. My mom made the comment that he changes everytime she sees him. He is still able to wear all of the newborn size clothes that he has. He can wear some of the 0-3 month old clothes, he may still be trying to catch up (growth wise) from his pyloric stenosis, or we may just have another smaller baby. He is at this point long and thin. We are also in the process of putting him on formula. Since he had his surgery and he wasn't able to eat and I stayed in the hospital with him and wasn't able to pump but once every 10-12 hours. I haven't been able to keep up with his eating habbits. In order to increase the supply, I would have to pump every two hours. With being at work and taking care of Breanna, and JJ at home, I just don't have that much time. He seems to being doing ok on it so far, we are giving him about 50% of each. We will do this until we have cleared out our freezer of all the frozen milk.

JJ playing on his play mat. He loves to "talk" to the toys that hang down. He enjoys his play time.

Have I mentioned that Breanna likes shoes, she likes to get them all out and put them all on all the time. She is such a girl!! The funny thing is that she only takes off her right shoe and changes it. He left shoe never comes off!!
