Short message today……
Breanna hasn’t been feeling too well. She has had a fever since Sunday morning. I called the doctor and he said that it was normal to have a reaction to the shots that she had last week. He said if it lasts more than 3 days then to call back. So I got about 1.5 hours of sleep last night. Then got to work and we had to unpack all of our stuff. UGGHHHH. There will be more later…..

Diapers….diapers…..
Well we are having our next challenge as parents. Here it is…..how to keep a diaper on our daughters behind. Last week after having her eveining milk and going to bed, Breanna started crying, so I went into her room to check on her. I found her sitting naked in her bed. She had taken off her diaper (which she had pooped in) and played with it a little while before she starting crying. There was poop all over her crib, blankets, and all over herself. I picked her up and put her in the bathtub. I got Jay to take her bedding off of her crib and throw it in the washing machine. I got her all cleaned up. Got her crib all cleaned up, and put her back into bed. I called my mom and told her about our "fun" evening of poop cleaning. She told me to get a onesie and put it on her. So that worked for about a week……until last night. Breanna again started crying after I put her to bed. I walked in her room, and there she was again with her bare butt. She had gotten the snaps in the onesie undone, and had pulled off her diaper. And apparently she is a very talented pee-er. She had somehow peed on the floor, out the side of her crib, but managed to get no pee on her bed. Just a puddle on the floor. I don't know how she did it, but she did. So I cleaned up the pee, even though I didn't see of feel anything in her bed, I still took everything off her bed and threw it into the washer. After getting her back to bed I started thinking what now…..how can I get the diaper to stay on her. I put her to bed with a pair of bloomer type unbderwear over her diaper, so that kept her diaper on last night. We'll see how long that lasts. I may have bought us another week without duct tape =).

The doctors office
So Breanna had her one year old appointment today at the doctor. Here are her current stats:
19lbs 4ozs - 10-15% for kids her age
30 inches tall - 75% for kids her age
Head size is 90% for kids her age - same as it has always been =)
She is perfectly healthy. He wasn't concerned with her lack of walking. He said it is a matter of will vs. skill. She knows that right now it is easier, and faster for her to crawl and so that is what she does. He said that she will get over it eventually and decide to walk. She got a MMR/Chicken Pox shot. She cried for a minute, but then got oer it and had started laughing at the nurses.
She had a good morning. She spent it with my mom. She watched her so that I didn't have to go all the way down to daycare to get Breanna before her doctors appointment. Breanna had a great time. She loves going and spending time with her "Gamma".

Breanna's Birthday………
So we had Breanna's big birthday weekend. We went Thurs and got her pictures taken. She did very well and I Loved the way most of them came out. Here are some of them. They took 100 of them so it was had to decide which ones to get. She loved getting into her cake. At first she didn't really know what she was doing, but after she tasted the cake it was a WHOLE nother story. I had to take her into the bathroom after she got done and put her in the sink and hose her off.
We had a great weekend. My grandparents came into town from Little Rock on Sat. We had a great time with them. We love having them come to visit. Breanna especially loved all of the love and attention that she received. We went out to Pearls on Sat night for dinner with my parents, my grandparents, and my Nana. Breanna loved looking at the lake, and getting to watch all the people out on the back porch walking around. We had a great dinner and great company.
Sunday was the big birthday party day. We had lots of food, family and fun. Some would say that some of the "adult" men had a little bit too much fun. See I thought we were going to have several children there so I bought some water baloons, and silly string. Well before the kids had a chance to get to all of it, the adults got a hold of them. There was silly string and water balloons being thrown EVERYWHERE!! In the end all was ok. Breanna had a great time getting to see everyone. She got a bunch of really cool toys. She didn't want to go to sleep last night, she could see all of those toys calling to her to play with them last night.
Now it is back to the normal day to day activities. Back to work. We take Breanna to her doctors appointment tomorrow so we will get all of her stats and sent them along. Have a great week, and thanks to everyone who made Breanna's first birthday soo special.

Strange Days…….
Ok so we have all heard of the strange things people eat when they are pregnant. Last nights dinner consisted of 2 microwavable pancakes, and a little bowl of corn. This weekend as a snack I had some pickle slices dipped in ranch dressing. That is about the only strange things, well strange to me, that I hae eaten lately. I just thought about my dinner last night and thought….hmm pancakes and corn…good dinner….hahahahaha.
Well, got some news from Amy Olsen yesterday. You may remember her as Melissa's firend from Chesterfield. She had her baby boy on July 12th. Here is the info that she sent:
LUCAS CHRISTOPHER WAGNER
7-12-06
7 LBS 5 OZ
20 1/2 inches
15 hours of hard labor, I held on as long as I could but I finally got drugs.
We couldnt be happier with our sweet baby.
He is adorable. I am so happy for Amy and Jason. They are a cute little family.
Lets see this weekend is fast approaching. Breanna's 1st birthday is tomorrow. We are going to go and get pictures taken at 10:00am. Then spend the day hanging out together. She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I just love her soo much, she makes me smile constantly!!
Lets see….JJ has begun to kick A LOT!! He is a very active baby. I should have known I was in trouble when they did the little dopler thing to get the heart rate and they had to do it three times because little JJ kept moving away from the machine. =)

Adventures in Dreamland…..
So being that it was about 105 yesterday in Oklahoma City it was a little hot in our house yesterday. The house that we are renting has window air conditioners. There is one in our bedroom and one in the living room. So last night when we were getting ready to go to bed I thought that I would go and check on Breanna. I walked in her room and touched her and she was pretty warm. So I had the bright idea, well I'll just pick her up and she can come in and sleep with us. Now it was still about 90 at 10pm. I picked her up and there was sweat on the back of her little neck.
I carried her into our bedroom and put her in between Jay and I. First I need to aplogize to any member of my family that had to ever share a bed with me as a child. I now feel your pain. Breanna started out just peacefully laying ni between us. She then decided to turn over, and also turn sideways. So she was laying perpendicular to both Jay and I. We both had to move over so that she could strech out. She then decided to kick off the covers and kicked me square in the nose. She then decided to move a little more and headbutted Jay. She then turned back to laying the same way as Jay and I. Then she decided to lay with her head on my pillow. She then kicked Jay in the side for about the next 15 minutes. I also discovered that just like her father, Breanna talks in her sleep. At one point she started pointing and saying NO in her sleep. By 11:30 we had had enough kicks in the side and getting headbutted. I don't think she stopped moving the entire hour and a half she was in our room. I decided enough was enough. Turned on the living room air conditioner and then put her in her bed and turned on her fan. We all finally got to get some sleep.
2 days left in her first year. =)

Ok so this is going to be our new venue for telling and letting people know about things. I loved reading Nicholes blog soo much that I decided to start one of our own. As many of you know Jay and I are going to have a second baby. We found out last Monday (the 10th) that we are going to have a baby boy. There wasn't much discussion about what we were going to name this baby. I went through a baby name book and wrote down names that I liked, but Jay only wanted one name. So our baby is going to be named Jay Lindsey Brinsfield, Jr., it means a lot to Jay, and this is going to be his only son, so why not have a Jr.
We are coming up on another big event. Our baby girl Breanna will be a year old on July 20th (Thurs). It really doesn't seem like she should be a year old. She is growing up to fast for us!! She is such a little person. She is amazing. She makes us laugh ALL the time. She had a big weekend. She got to spend the night at my parents house on Sat night. This is only the second time in her first year that she has spent the night anywhere. She had a good time. My mom has been asking me to leave her there for a night for awhile. I finally gave in. I don't thinks she believed me at first that we were actually going to leave her there.
My uncle was also in town. My dad went 1/2 way on Friday to meet him. They spent a LONG time riding their bikes this weekend. They went on a poker run on Sat with their cousin Jimmy. Hope you all are doing well. Will write more later!!
