I got very emotional when I first watched the Last Lecture. There aren't a lot of words that I can express to tell you how wonderful the show and the man are. Just watch and see for yourself.
Randy died last week, he knew his time was limited. He knew what his fate was. He maintained an amazing strength, outlook, and perspective. I remember from the ABC special that I had watched that he said
"I mean, the metaphor I've used is ... somebody's going to push my family off a cliff pretty soon, and I won't be there to catch them. And that breaks my heart. But I have some time to sew some nets to cushion the fall. So, I can curl up in a ball and cry, or I can get to work on the nets."
Like I said great man, great story, great life!
If you can't watch ABC's special tonight, you can go to abcnews.com and watch it or go to youtube and watch it as well.

2 people showing some love:
I LOVED his lecture and watched him on Oprah and Primetime. It really is moving.
I also loved that his most important piece of advice he would leave to his daughter was to never believe what a man says - ever! Only look at what their actions are...nothing new but the way he said it hit home with me.
I haven't seen this or even ever heard about it or him. But I did see the news about him on CNN. I'll have to go watch on youtube. It is amazing how much I miss being over here.
